CIA Recruits The CIA was recruiting for assassins. After extensive interviews and tests there were three remaining candidates, two men and one woman. The recruiter meets with the three remaining people and tells them he has one final test and whomsoever passes will be hired. He leads them to a closed room, hands the first man a gun and tells him his wife is in the room. "As an assassin we must be sure you will always follow any orders. Inside the room you will find your wife sitting in a chair. Go into the room and shoot your wife." The first man replies, "I can't shoot my wife!" The recruiter says, "Well, then you're not the kind of person we are looking for." The man leaves. The recruiter hands the second man the gun and repeats the instructions. The second man enters the room but returns in a few minutes without firing a shot. The recruiter tells him he has failed and he leaves. The recruiter hands the gun to the woman, tells her that her husband is in the room and repeats his instructions to shoot him. She enters the room and closes the door behind herself. There is a shot followed by a pause, another shot then 11 more shots in rapid succession. There is another pause of silence and all hell breaks loose in the room. There are screams, thumps, bumps and crashing sounds. After a few minutes the noise dies down and the woman emerges. She says, "You didn't tell me the gun was loaded with blanks! I had to beat him to death with the chair!" Contributed by Mark P. |
